MORE than 100 people were given an insight into a new hard-as-diamond product which could save the oil and gas industry millions of pounds a year.

InnerArmor technology, using lasers to apply a tough carbon film coating, was shown by Advanced Coating Initiative (ACI) at its Portlethen premises.

Among those present were representatives of InnerArmor developer Sub-One and ITI Energy, which commissioned the research programme that enabled its development.
